Technical Manager

As Technical Manager Jay supports all of the technical and staging aspects of Ricochet Theatre's productions. They also design and frequently direct Ricoceht productions. Jay is also a mental health first aider.

On Tour

Jay has directed both Maria Cook and Ella McKeown in The Same Rain That Falls on Me from its first performance at York Theatre Royal's Takeover Festival in 2019.

Jay is the lighting designer for Elegies, as well as assisting Ella in the sound and stage design for Intricate Rituals.

Outside Ricochet

​

Jay is originally from Devon and likes to get involved with all aspects of the theatre-making process, having directed, designed and produced many amateur theatre productions both at home and as part of the Drama Society at the University of York. Outside of Ricochet Theatre Jay works as a technician at the Exeter Northcott Theatre.

 

Recently Jay has worked as an assistant stage manager on: Le Navet Bete's A Christmas Carol, written and directed by John Nicholson (ASM cover, December 2021 - January 2022); and Exeter Northcott's The Beat of Our Hearts, written by Natalie McGrath (ASM, February 2022).
