Agnes of Rome was a 12-year-old girl who was executed in the 4th century after rejecting the sexual advances of grown men. Our show follows Saint Agnes as she reckons with her powers, identity and legacy, with the audience joining her on a mission to track down her murderers in order to exact vengeance.
Agnes was shortlisted for the Charlie Hartill Award 2023 with the Pleasance Theatre and longlisted for the 2024 Underbelly Untapped.
Agnes was born out of a rigorous Research and Development process with thanks to support from Applecart Arts and Kaleider.
It was performed as part of the 2023 Bedfringe at the Quarry Theatre, Bedford.
